Entry for 1up's Guitar Hero video contest. Unfortunately 1up.com was supposed to judge the contest last November, but they never did, so nobody knows who won.
For the fret board, we recorded the Playstation output at the same time to another camera so we had a clean video of just the game. Then I put that on top of the footage we shot, synced up the times with the TV so everything stayed in sync, then used Adobe After Effects to mask out everything except the notes.
Also, I did manage to get 1st at the WSVG in Dallas.
